WrestleMania 32 Predictions

Welcome to Outside the Brass Ring! Happy WrestleMania! In less than four hours, we will be kicking off with the WrestleMania preshow. I figured I’d give you my thoughts on each match along with my prediction of who is going to win, and that’s what I did here. Tonight, after WrestleMania has concluded, I will take to Hardly Serious to give you my recap and review of every single match. Let’s hope that WWE does will with their biggest event of the year, and hopefully it will be better than NXT Takeover Dallas! With that being said, here are my predictions.

12501668_1535753300053325_811988927_nThe Usos VS The Dudley Boyz

Thoughts: I’m pretty sure I touched on this topic in my last Hardly Serious post about The Dudley Boyz new change, but if I didn’t, here’s my thoughts on it. I hate it. The whole draw for The Dudley Boyz was their tables. They would ‘get the tables’ and everyone would go crazy, and now that’s gone. I mean, I get that character changes are a thing in WWE, but this one wasn’t necessary. I get the heel turn aspect of it, but I hate the loss of their gimmick. I’m glad that The Dudley Boyz aren’t in the tag team title picture, so that’s the only real upside I have on them. The Usos, on the other hand, I wish were in the tag team title picture right now. They are honestly the only tag team I like right now, and I think they deserve the championships. The rather unfortunate thing about the tag team division is that it relies on superstars staying in a tag team and not getting a solo push. If a solo push is mad, a tag team is ruined, and that sucks for the division. What the tag team division needs right now is some NXT talent to come up and save everyone else. Yes, I’m talking about Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.
Winner: The Usos

CfHpZ9LWsAA2hVkTotal Divas (Paige, Brie Bella, Natalya, Alicia Fox, & Eva Marie) VS “BAD & Blonde” (Emma, Lana, Naomi, Tamina, & Summer Rae)

Thoughts: I guess this is an alright match, however I hate a good majority of these divas. I could go one by one and explain why I dislike them, but that would take too long. However, I’m going to briefly discuss it because I’m here. I absolutely hate that Lana is in this match. She hasn’t wrestled ever, and now her first match is a WrestleMania match, which is bound to be terrible for her. She’s not that good from what she’s shown, and I’m not expecting anything to happen with him. Along with that, Summer Rae is still struggling in her wrestling technique and should have never been anymore than Fandango’s dancing partner. Eva Marie shouldn’t have come up, nobody wanted her to. The crowds hate her, and she will sure get boos at WrestleMania even though the rest of her team should get cheered. It sucks that this is going to be Brie Bella’s final match and this is what she has to work with, but hopefully she’ll end her career with a WrestleMania victory. Everyone else in this match, I can tolerate to an extent, so I don’t have too much to say about them. I’m glad they’ve brought Emma up and I hope she’ll be able to do some good in the divas division in the following months. Other than that, I don’t have much else to say about this match.
Winner: Total Divas (Paige, Brie Bella, Natalya, Alicia Fox, & Eva Marie)

12918566_235976026755531_2113928931_nKalisto© VS Ryback

Thoughts: Well, I absolutely hate Ryback and what his character has come to. All he has to show for himself is his size. His entire gimmick is based off of him being the big guy but, he’s not even that big compared to a good amount of other superstars. He’s not really good on the microphone, and he struggles through his promos. He’s alright in the ring, but I don’t see anything new from him. He’s a jobber trying to live a mid card life right now and it’s not working out for him. Kalisto, on the other hand, I absolutely love. I just kind of hate how they’re making him seem like such an underdog because of his size. They’re putting him over as a Rey Mysterio character, and he doesn’t really need it. I love him as the United States Champion, and I think his reign should last longer, especially if his opponents are the likes of Ryback.
Winner: Kalisto©

12912465_222471748109068_669369033_nAndre The Giant Battle Royal

Thoughts: This is one of those matches that I find hard to complain about because it is honoring a WWE legend and hall of famer. However, this is one of those matches that is only used to give a lot of the leftover mid card superstar a chance to be at WrestleMania. It’s a match so people don’t forget about superstars like The Social Outcasts. However, rumours have it that this match will occur at WrestleMania rather than the WrestleMania Kick Off show, which could mean a special debut or return. This peaked my interest a bit, but I still don’t really like the reasonings behind this match. I just don’t like how they scrambled to bring storyline into it like how they did on 03.28.16’s edition of RAW. It just feels sloppy.
Winner: –

12070729_1747340392164651_87992160_nTriple H© VS Roman Reigns

Thoughts: Well, I think I speak for a large population of the WWE Universe when I say that I hate this match in its entirety. This rivalry is just really dumb, in my opinion. You can’t really have a face, like Roman Reigns, rebelling against the authority, it just doesn’t work. With the crowd’s reactions, you can tell that they utterly hate this storyline. Triple H as champion was a bad idea in itself, but I get it, but they had to have someone else face off against him. Roman Reigns should’ve lost at Fastlane and that should’ve been the end of it. If they wanted this to work out, they should’ve started booking Roman Reigns as a heel long before the last RAW of the road to WrestleMania. In this rivalry, Triple H needed to battle against a heel to get the crowd reacting well. WWE obviously failed in doing this, and this match is going to be the consequence. Rumours have it that this match has turned into a no disqualification, but I have no idea if it is true or not, we will see.
Winner: Roman Reigns

12407176_1583221001989671_325034464_nDean Ambrose VS Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) in a No Holds Barred Street Fight

Thoughts: Okay, so this all started at Fastlane in the Triple Threat match for the number one contendership, where Dean Ambrose cost Brock Lesnar the match by hitting him with a steel chair. You know how the beast gets when he’s angry, it’s not pretty. They’ve gone back and forth in the past few weeks post Fastlane, and their storyline has been developing pretty well. Dean Ambrose has been visited by legends, such as Mick Foley and Terry Funk, who have been providing him with weapons of destruction for his no holds barred street fight. This would be the perfect way for Dean Ambrose to make his well awaited heel turn, which the crowd would go crazy for. Dean Ambrose isn’t good face; he can’t perform to his fullest lunatic ability as a face, it just doesn’t work. If he turns heel tonight, the crowd would go crazy, but I’m not sure if WWE will see it that way. With his wagon of toys following close behind him, Dean looks to be ready for his match tonight against the beast incarnate.
Winner: Dean Ambrose

12424899_1599354573719153_2017066777_nShane McMahon VS The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell

Thoughts: This was such a sudden thing, but it’s worked out so well, at first. Shane McMahon came back and the crowd was automatically tuned in. When his opponent and place was announced, I got excited. Shane Mcmahon versus The Undertaker…. inside Hell in a Cell?!?!? Wow, WWE has got me in real quick. However, they screwed up, and they screwed up bad. Vince McMahon gave this match another stipulation, and that was: If The Undertaker loses against Shane McMahon, this will be his last WrestleMania. Yeah, that destroyed this entire match for me because it basically told everyone how it was going to end. Do you really think WWE will make The Undertaker’s last match at WrestleMania be this one? Well, I hope so. I mean, I really want Shane to win and take control of Monday Night RAW, but this match has me skeptical. This will hopefully be a fun one to watch, and hey, maybe someone will come and interfere to help Shane out a little bit. I don’t know, anything could happen at WrestleMania, right?
Winner: Shane McMahon

12816816_1202419923142104_958291480_nCharlotte© VS Becky Lynch VS Sasha Banks

Thoughts: In my opinion, Charlotte has held the championship for too long. I hate how her character has been in WWE because she has to have her father there at all times, and it doesn’t give her any room to be her own character. She’s just become ‘Ric Flair’s daughter.’ Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks both deserve the championship, which made it rather hard for me to pick a winner for this match, but I chose Sasha. I think she deserves it right now and the crowd is absolutely in love with her. I think that this triple threat match will push both Sasha and Becky up into the crowd’s eyes and will help elevate the divas division. However, rumours have been circulating that on the RAW after WrestleMania, Stephanie McMahon will be rebranding the divas division as the women’s division. If this is true, it opens the door for either Sasha or Becky to become the first women’s champion of the modern era. This would be huge for either of their careers, but I think they’ll give it to Sasha tonight.
Winner: Sasha Banks

12531056_213985535639916_298529615_nKevin Owens© VS Sami Zayn VS Stardust VS The Miz VS Dolph Ziggler VS Zack Ryder VS Sin Cara

Thoughts: I really like that they are having a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. I like the contenders that are in this match, and I think this match will be quite beneficial for some of these superstars careers. I think this will give one of this lowcard superstars a huge push that they deserve, and hopefully help the other five on the way up. I really want this match to end with Zack Ryder picking up the victory, but after watching NXT Takeover Dallas, I feel as though WWE will be giving it to Sami Zayn after his emotional match against Nakamura. I will be quite happy with the results of this match if either Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, or Zack Ryder wins, but I am 100% pulling for Zack Ryder.
Winner: Zack Ryder or Sami Zayn

917421_1702833913288791_1017270373_nThe New Day© VS The League of Nations

Thoughts: I honestly hate this storyline and there are so many reasons why. First, it’s the New Day, and I can’t stand them, but what I can’t stand more than them is the League of Nations. My first question is, why does this match go on the actual show and Kalisto defending his title gets pushed to the kick off show? Last I heard, this wasn’t for the championships, but I could be wrong. However, the League of Nations will soon be down a member considering that King Barrett has announced his leave from WWE. If this is a championship match, I don’t see why they would give the title to the League of Nations, considering we would be going from one freebird tag team to another, it’d just be weird.
Winner: The New Day© (sadly)

12918381_579001958942459_935023926_nChris Jericho VS AJ Styles

Thoughts: As soon as AJ Styles came to the WWE, I was worried. I was worried that they would debut him superman style and push him down like they did with Tyler Breeze. However, they booked him quite differently and I couldn’t be happier right now. I love how they’ve been developing this storyline with Jericho and Styles, and I hope it ends well tonight. When they started the whole Y2AJ thing, I was worried that they would destroy both their characters by forcing a tag team, but they didn’t. They had Jericho turn heel, which created for a tense atmosphere between the two. They’ve been going back and forth, taunting each other, and they’ve been having a good reaction with the crowd. The crowd is loving their rivalry, and I think tonight’s match will cap it off for the better.
Winner: AJ Styles

Sister Abigail?

There have been rumours circulating for awhile now about a female character being added to The Wyatt Family, more specifically, Sister Abigail. Yes, the same one that’s in an abundance of Bray Wyatt promos and the star who had her name given to Bray’s finishing move. I have yet to find a direct source of where, but on WWE.com, staff talked about some potential storylines to take place in 2016. A lot of them were crazy fantasies, but this one is pretty possible in the future of WWE.

The Wyatt Family started as just Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan, but recently, Braun Strowman has been brought into the mix. Through some poor bookings while Bray was solo, the WWE Universe slowly left his side. Nobody cares anymore and his talent was going to waste. Now that he’s with the three other members of the Wyatt Family, the crowd loves him. It’s only a matter of time until he gets into a title picture. But, are the three others enough to push him there, or is another member just what he needs to get a title around his waist… err… shoulder.

Earlier in the month, there were two names circulating around, Nia Jax and Asuka. Nia Jax is the cousin of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who has been in NXT for awhile. She’s not you’re typical diva, and her look would’ve been perfect for the Wyatt Family. Asuka was a strange name for me because of her stature. She’s a lot smaller than the other members of the Wyatt Family, and she’s not really strong on the mic, which is a strong suit in the Wyatt Family. But another name has recently surfaced. On January 10, a cryptic tweet along with a photo was posted on an account called @SantanaGarrett_. Ever heard of her? No? Me either. However, this photo created a lot of buzz. On the 7th, NXT’s taping had former TNA Knockout Santana Garrett wrestling in a match. Then, his tweet shows up. Weird, right? It gets weirder, don’t worry. First, just look at the picture. If that doesn’t scream Wyatt Family, I don’t know what does. I’m now going to analyse a few key details in this photo a bit more.

PyIiABkDFirst – The Sheep Mask
If you didn’t notice this and make a connection, I’ll do it for you. It’s a sheep mask, almost identical to the ones that Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman wear out to the ring. Creepy much?
bray1 bray2Second – #WakeUp
No, we aren’t talking about Ryback here when he screams “Wake Up!” as he walks down the entrance ramp. No, it’s bigger than that. This may be a bit far fetched, but look at the font. Yes, the font of the writing. Look familiar? If it doesn’t, let’s compare it to one of Bray Wyatt’s shirts. It looks very similar, if not exact, right? If this doesn’t scream new member of the Wyatt Family, maybe this next one will.
Third – Lantern
This may be hard for some to see because the photo is a bit blurry, but look carefully at what this woman is holding. Do you see it? The lantern? If I’m not mistaken, this lantern is exactly like the one Bray carries out to the ring. Okay, this is getting creepier. This lantern is literally screaming “I’m joining The Wyatt Family!”
Fourth – Backgrounds
If none of those got you on board, this one won’t either. This one is the most far fetched of the four. The background where she is looks to be creepy, dark, woods. Yes, woods. Where do the Wyatt’s shoot promos? The woods, yeah. This may be a shot in the dark compared to the others, but could she have been searching the woods this whole time for Bray and now finally she’s found him and now she can wake and debut in WWE. This is all really new information to me, but with my background of making up storylines, I’ve already thought of two scenarios that this mystery Sister Abigail could debut. Here they are:

Bray, Is That You?
Do you know how random Wyatt promos went off when Roman Reigns was in the ring? What if that happened while the Wyatt Family was in the ring? Imagine the rocking chair, back and forth, back and forth, and then the woman pictured exactly in the photo appears on the chair. Then, the words “Bray, Is That You?” echo throughout the stadium before the lights turn dark and the rocking chair appears on the ramp with a dress thrown across it. Creepy? That’s the point. This would happen until Fastlane where she would debut. Instead of the dress being on the rocking chair, she would be there, Bray would walk up to her, and just as he would try to take the mask off, the lights would turn off and she’d be gone.

Just Like Bray
Here’s another scenario; imagine we’ve heard nothing about this on TV and it’s the Royal Rumble. Bray Wyatt’s music hits when his number comes up, but he doesn’t come out. Instead the woman pictured makes her way to the ring and climbs inside, scaring whoever is inside the ring at the time. She just sits in the middle of the ring, everything around her stops. The next number, Bray’s music hits again and he comes out to the ring. She immediately gets up and they come face to face… um, mask. Then, suddenly, she shoves him over the rope and eliminates him, then exits the ring. She walks up the ramp, leaving her sheep mask on the rocking chair at the top of the ramp.

Yeah, those are really strange and probably won’t happen, but I have really high hopes for this. There’s way to much for this to simply be just a rumour. If this happens, it needs to happen soon, or it won’t carry well. Anyway, I didn’t plan to post this or write anything about this, but it just happened. I hope you enjoyed this, and I hope you go and read dozens of articles like I did. Go check out the tweet and see for yourself, do you believe it? Be sure to follow me on Twitter, @graveyardpxnk, for more rumours that I don’t write about! I’ll see you next time with yet another WWE post!

What We Envy… #2

Welcome to another What We Envy…! Before you continue on, I get really intense about certain things that make me really mad, and I type a lot, so if you want to click out now, I advise it. If you want to continue on and read, I really appreciate. This What We Envy… is about fake WWE fans, or I guess, fake wrestling fans in general. I’ve witnessed all of these myself, and in no way am I making it up. I have 10 different fake WWE fans that really make me angry, and I decided to share them with you through a What We Envy… This post, not only, will feature a lot of words, but also a lot of sarcastic CM Punk memes. That was your second warning. If you have any other kinds of fake wrestling fans that you’ve encountered, comment them and I can throw them up in this post at the end! Anyway, I present to you, What We Envy… About Fake WWE Fans.

690d424e81ebcb6b6e00505009f8a883Fake WWE Fan #1 – The Try Harder

Okay, so this one really annoys me. There have been a handful of people that have commented on my wrestling shirts, and that immediately gets my attention, but then the hit me with this: “Oh, I’m a huge fan of WWE, but I don’t watch it.” Like, I get that some people have stopped watching because it’s gotten terrible, but when someone has never watched it and claims to be a fan really annoys me. Some have claimed to me that they follow it through WWE’s Twitter account and the WWE Universe account, but does that really matter? Maybe it’s just me, but I think that if you’re a wrestling fan, you should at least watch RAW or SmackDown, or the occasional pay-per-view and keep up with what’s going on. I know dozens of wrestling fans that only watch pay-per-views because, for them, watching three hours of RAW is grueling, but they watch pay-per-views. I’m talking about these people that have seen maybe one pay-per-view, and that’s it, but they’re claiming to be this hardcore, best fan out there. That’s like me saying, “oh, I’m a fan of certain football team, but I don’t watch them, I follow them on Twitter though.” I just don’t think it makes any sense.

af6224f32fde45115fda59934b5a9534Fake WWE Fan #2 – The Cenation Follower

I guess this one bugs me the most recently because John Cena is so well known in pop culture nowadays, but he didn’t used to be. Don’t get me wrong, I love John Cena as a person, but I despise him as a wrestler. Anyway, there are some people that I’ve talked to, because I’ve worn John Cena shirts before, that love my shirts. I started talking to this one girl, and she went on about how she loved watching John Cena wrestle and how she used to have a toothbrush that sang his entrance music. Then, I asked her about other superstars, and she told me she only knew John Cena. I’ve encountered this situation so many times. I’ve known people that say they’re major wrestling fans, and that they love John Cena, but they don’t know anyone else who wrestles. Now, because of all his pop culture knowledge, everyone knows John Cena, but nobody knows what he’s from. I’ve asked people how they know the John Cena references and they can only tell me Vine, not that he’s a wrestler, and some people don’t even know that. I guess that’s just the world we live in now.

3f93fcc55371b4db8cde7391d398ce1ba39cd05d5e320a16643e42f248192014Fake WWE Fan #3 – New Day Rocks SUCKS

Yes, I hate the New Day, and you’re probably wondering how I have any say in this, but I’ll explain as I go. There are people out there who I’ve personally talked to who claim New Day sucks because “there is nothing great about musical instruments and unicorn horns in the ring.” Yeah… So, let me explain, I don’t hate the New Day because Xavier Woods plays the trombone or because they wear unicorn horns on their head. I hate them because I just never got behind them. They started annoying me with their lame promo videos for their debut, they annoy me because they’re heels whose characters don’t portray heels. No heel in history has been that colourful or that strange, but I don’t mind it that bad. I don’t like how they’re the only ones leading the tag team division. In my opinion, the tag team championship should change hands on RAW, it should be held for two pay-per-views or three and then changed. That’s the only real way to keep them relevant. Anyway, back to these fake fans… I hate people that, one, assume that wrestling is dumb because of superstars like the New Day, and two, people who think New Day is terrible simply because of their appearance. They’re great wrestlers inside the ring, and they’re great on the mic, however, people don’t know that until they watch them, and I’ve seen people talk terribly about them who don’t know anything they’re talking about.

a27fa03884b9e6398e204d1209df7abaFake WWE Fan #4 – Nice Shirt!

I guess these aren’t necessarily fake fans, but sometimes they are. Some people will misjudge a wrestling shirt as just a cool pop culture shirt, but when people acknowledge that they know it’s a wrestling shirt, and then go on to call it a random superstar’s shirt bug me. Here’s an example:

Person: Nice wrestling shirt!
Me: Thanks!
Person: Is that Finn Balor or whatever his name is?
Me: No… it’s an Undertaker shirt.
Person: Oh, yeah, that guy…

If you’re going to say that it’s a wrestling shirt, be sure you know what you’re talking about. This really bugs me because then it’s really awkward afterwards because they were so confident and I just shut them down. There are also some people that say they want to buy a superstar’s shirt or a specific shirt, and I ask them if they know whose shirt it is and they have no idea. I mean, I buy wrestling shirts simply because I think they look cool, but I make sure I know whose it is before I buy it. I guess some people don’t care enough to do that.

tumblr_inline_n2e40etk2u1rd78h0Fake WWE Fan #5 – Oooh, That’s Gotta Hurt!

Okay, before I start this one, I have to say that I’ve pretty much always known that wrestling was fake, or staged. I mean, when I was a kid, I probably didn’t, but since then, I’ve known. Anyway, I wouldn’t necessarily jump to call these types of fans fake, but I wanted to touch on them. I think it was at the very first RAW I went to that a kid sitting two seats next to me was constantly talking about how this kick or that punch was going to hurt in the morning, like it was real. I don’t get how some people don’t know that wrestling isn’t real, it’s scripted. Not all the hits are real hits, not all the kicks actually hit someone in the face, not everything has contact.

ba424d3bdc3e62d2715e27349798dffdFake WWE Fan #6 – Just Because…

I get people that hate superstars, and I get that people like superstars, but I hate when people’s reasons are “just because.” Again, this isn’t really fake fans, but I wanted to touch on this as well. I think for every superstar I’ve ever liked, I’ve been able to give a reason, yes, some of those reasons include looks, but it’s better than “just because,” right? I don’t get how you can just like a wrestler without any rhyme or reason for it. This is almost as bad as people calling a wrestler they like cool. “I like him because he’s cool, you know?” No, I don’t know because that’s what I used to tell people as a compliment when I couldn’t think of anything else. Yeah, you’re cool, I guess.

roman-reigns-reacts-to-his-wrestlemania-defeat-1200x520Fake WWE Fan #7 – What’s A Storyline?

This kind of goes along with the first one, but here it is! I have encountered people that say they’re these major wrestling fans and that this guy is his favourite and whatnot, and then I ask them how they feel about the way this superstar is being used or how this championship is being handled, and they have no idea what I’m talking about. But I thought you were a fan? Oh, you don’t know any storylines, I thought you watched wrestling? This really annoys me because it’s like, why lie? I don’t get it, I really don’t.

These next three, I’m going to cluster together because they’re really similar.

23f46f67f0f982706bfb72cdd62bf04ba1528863da10aed0c72e988aecabe687Fake WWE Fan #8 – Yeah, That Guy!
Fake WWE Fan #9 – That One Move, You Know?
Fake WWE Fan #10 – That One Guy

There are people out there that ask me if “that one guy” still wrestles. Like what? Yeah, sure, that one guy. If you don’t know a superstar’s name, don’t talk about them! If you don’t know the name of a move, don’t talk about it! You know that one guy who does that one move? Yeah, you mean THE ENTIRE ROSTER? I seriously don’t understand how people can talk like this. “That one guy…” or “that one move..” just doesn’t cut it. There’s an endless amount of possibilities that it could be. I can’t have a conversation with people like that. I just give up so easily once those words come out of someone’s mouths.

Anyway, before I write for another like 8 hours, I’m going to stop here. If you’ve encountered any of these types of people, I’m sorry, because I understand. I hope you enjoyed this little rant in the style of a What We Envy… Thanks for reading all the way to the end if you did! I really appreciate it! I’ll be posting a lot more about WWE in the following few months, and I hope you return for those! 2015 Pay-Per-Views in Review

Welcome to another post on this fine blog! If you don’t know this already, I’ve been posting review style posts on a website called Hardly Serious where I talk about RAW and pay-per-view matches and what I would’ve done differently. I didn’t start until Hell in a Cell, but I’ve already fully reviewed three pay-per-views over there. I’m not going to go into super detail on matches because I don’t want to have to go back and watch any of those, but I’ll talk about highlights, my favourite match of the pay-per-view, anything that I’m really frustrated with, or any notable title changes. I also have a Royal Rumble Review on this blog, so you can read that if you’re interested as well! I’ll put in all the matches and winners, but I won’t go into much more detail than that for everything.

Royalrumble2015updatedThe 2015 year started out with the Royal Rumble. On January 25, WWE made their way to Philadelphia, PA. Match #1 of the night; The Ascension VS The New Age Outlaws was a bust, with The Ascension winning. The Miz and Damien Mizdow VS The Usos, not so good, but The Usos retained their titles. The Bella Twins VS Paige and Natalya, pointless, where Nikki Bella picked up the victory for her and her sister. Then we get to the only really good match of the night, a triple threat match between Brock Lesnar, John Cena, and Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship. Lesnar retained that night, but it was probably the best match of the night. Then we get to the cereal bowl of disappointment, the Royal Rumble itself. Let’s just throw in some surprise returns, get rid of the goat face, make the fan favourites look like jobbers, and let’s let Roman Reigns win. Yeah, that didn’t go over with the crowd so great. They tried too hard to force Roman Reigns down WWE Universe’s throat by eliminating the fan vote to win, Daniel Bryan before half the superstars got in. Yeah, not a great way to start off the year for WWE.

WWE_Fastlane_2015_Official_PosterMoving on to February 22, where WWE hosted Fastlane in Memphis, Tennessee. The main event would be Roman Reigns VS Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. Yes, WWE put a guaranteed match on the line because they wanted to give the WWE Universe another glimmer of false hope. Roman Reigns still won. Surrounding this match were okay, but not so great. They were certainly better than the Royal Rumble, but could you get any worse than that? Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, and Ryback teamed up to face Seth Rollins, Big Show, and Kane in a six man tag match. Randy Orton returned to RKO Authority members, while Seth Rollins chickened away out of the arena. Goldust took on his brother, Stardust, in a one on one match. Goldust picked up the victory, which then started this whole downfall of Cody Rhodes. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd took on The Usos to get their first ever titles as a team. Nikki Bella took on Paige for the Divas Championship, but retained it after a tight grab roll up. Bad News Barrett retained the Intercontinental Championship against Dean Ambrose. The Wyatt Family of Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Chris Jericho by submission. John Cena defeated Seth Rollins for the US Championship. Seth Rollins then went on to defeat Sting to retain the WWE Championship.

Hell_in_a_Cell_2015_PosterHell in a Cell took place on October 25 in Los Angeles, California. Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker in the second Hell in a Cell match of the night. I recommend watching this match, no matter what else you want to watch, because it was really great no matter the ending.

The_official_poster_of_survivor_series_2015Survivor Series honored 25 Years of Undertaker in Atlanta, Georgia on November 22. In a five-on-five traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match on the pre-show, Goldust, The Dudley Boyz, Neville, and Titus O’Neil defeated Stardust and The Ascension of the Cosmic Wasteland, The Miz and Bo Dallas. TLC_2015_official_posterIn the final pay-per-view of the year, TLC made it’s way to Boston, Massachusetts on December 13. Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch by submission on the pre-show. The New Day defeated The Usos and The Lucha Dragons in a triple threat tag team ladder match, which, I recommend watching no matter what. Rusev defeated Ryback by submission. Alberto Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger in a chairs match and retained the US Championship. The Wyatt Family defeated The ECW Originals of Bubba Ray, D-Von, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno in and eight-man tag team elimination tables match. Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens to become the new Intercontinental Championship. Charlotte defeated Paige in a singles Divas Championship match. Sheamus defeated Roman Reigns in the tables, ladders, and chairs match to retain the WWE Championship.

The year had it’s ups and downs, but after writing all of this and remembering everything that happened, I’d say it was a good year for pay-per-views. This was a great year for many superstars, including Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, The Lucha Dragons, Neville, Tyler Breeze, and so many more. WWE fluctuated a bit with their main guys, and had a handful of injuries, but they pulled together a decent year. I’m looking forward to new year of pay-per-views and I look forward to the return of Seth Rollins, and the hopeful return of Daniel Bryan, along with potential roster changes of NXT superstars, and maybe some surprise guests at the upcoming Royal Rumble!

Top 13 WWE Songs I’d Use as my Walk-Up Music

Welcome to my very first post of the 2016 year! It’s been just about a month since I last posted on here, and for me, that’s way too long. After being gone, I realized why I do this blog; it’s not for how many reads I get or how many people click the link to read my posts, it’s about how much I love to write and how much I love WWE and being able to find a way to combine both of them. Anyway, let’s move past this soul searching stuff and get to the reason you actually clicked on the link or however you got here. I don’t remember who or what inspired me to do this, but for some reason I was searching through the iTunes store for wrestler’s entrance music that I think I would use as my walk-up music if, you know, I ever became a major league baseball player, which means in my dreams. After listening to all of the previews of every song, I came up with 13 that I really liked, that I found a reason for. Okay, so I also went and listened to the entire song to see which part I would use, because that is just as important, right? If I were a pitcher, I chose about a 90 second snippet from the song, and if I were a position player of any kind, I chose about a 30 second snippet from the song. Some of them overlap, some are completely different. With that being said, I bring you my top 13 WWE songs I’d use as my walk-up music, in no particular order.

1.) Ryback – Meat on the Table

If I were a pitcher using Meat on the Table, I would use from about 1:12 to about 2:42. The song really starts to kick up at about 1:32, but I wanted to have a bit of a buildup before that. I personally feel like this would be an intimidating song for anyone in the on deck circle, and it would pump me up. I think it would also pump the crowd up and get them excited. Then, it goes until the end of the song at about 2:42. Now, if I were a position player using Meat on the Table, I would use from 0:22 to about 0:52. I know most position players don’t get more than about 5 to 10 seconds of their music played, but I chose this part because it’s a really upbeat and chanty part of the song. I personally don’t like the ‘feed me more’ part of the song, so this ended up being my favourite part of the song itself.

2.) Dolph Ziggler – I Am Perfection

If I were a pitcher using I Am Perfection, I would use 0:47 to 2:27. This part of the song starts off with the lyrics ‘go check the scores again, I come out a perfect 10,’ which I think is a perfect way to start warming up to. This entire song is about being the best there is, perfection, and I think that would be a very great way to walk up to the mound and start throwing with. All in all, I think this would be a perfect song to warm up with. If I were a position player using I Am Perfection, I would use 0:00 to about 0:32. This song, right away, starts off with saying ‘I am perfection,’ and who wouldn’t want to start their at bat like that? There’s a really good beat behind the beginning 30 seconds or so, and I think it would be a good song to get mentally ready to bat.

3.) Mark Henry – Some Bodies Gonna Get It

If I were a pitcher using Some Bodies Gonna Get It, I would use 1:07 to about 2:12. This song was kind of hard to find good spots for because in a lot of parts of the song it says stuff like ‘break his neck,’ which isn’t good for a walk up song of any kind. So, I chose this part of the song because the rapping part, for me, is really high energy. The background ‘woah’s are probably my favourite part of this song. If I were a position player using Some Bodies Gonna Get It, I would use about 0:27 to about 0:47. Again, this is a really high energy song during the rapping portions of it, and that’s basically why I chose this song to begin with. That, and the ‘woah’s throughout the song itself.

4.) Brock Lesnar – Next Big Thing

For this one, and almost the rest of the songs, I started at the same exact position. For this song, it was the very beginning. If I were a pitcher using Next Big Thing, I would use 0:00 to 1:30. This song was really easy to pick parts of it because it was all instrumental. I picked the very start of the song because it starts off strong and carries throughout the rest of the song like that. I think this is a really great song for a pitcher to warm up with, and it would be a really great song for all the fans to listen to and anticipate throughout the games. If I were a position player using Next Big Thing, I would use 0:00 to 0:33. Again, it was really easy to just choose the beginning of the song, which is exactly what I did. And, this song is really high energy and perfect, in my opinion, for any baseball player to use.

5.) Drew McIntyre – Broken Dream

If I were a pitcher using Broken Dreams, I would use from 0:00 to about 1:37. I really like the beginning  of this song because it really builds up to about 0:23. I think this would be a really good song because of the build up and then the high energy throughout the other parts of the song. Then, after about a minute, it gets really high energy and louder, which I really like. And then, it ends at the lyric ‘out of time,’ which is probably a really awkward ending, but that’s were I saw it fit to end the snippet of it.If I were a position player using Broken Dreams, I would use from about 1:37 to about 2:14. I would pick up the song right where it ended in the last portion at about 1:37. This part of the song is probably my favourite part, which is why it’s closer to 40 seconds than the 30 seconds I originally talked about. I really like the start and finish of this portion, which is why it’s really stuck to me. This is probably one of my favourite entrance musics I’ve listened to, which is why It’s on this list.

6.) The Usos – So Close Now

So in the beginning of this song, they do their little chant, and I couldn’t find a video without it so here we are. If I were a pitcher using So Close Now, I would use from 0:29 to about 2:02. This is where the song goes from the chant to the actual music. This song is instantly high energy and really doesn’t stop. I really like the lyrics to this song in general, so it wasn’t a hard decision to add this onto my list. If I were a position player using So Close Now, I would use from 0:29 to about 0:52. I chose this part of the song because it starts so instantly at high energy, but at about 0:52, it breaks off into a lower energy rap. That is exactly why I chose to start and stop it at these points. It keeps up the same high energy throughout.

7.) Paige – Stars In the Night

If I were a pitcher using Stars In the Night, I would use  0:00 to about 1:27. I like the very beginning of Paige’s song, so it was only fitting to choose that portion of the song. It’s a really high energy song in general, and there isn’t a lot of lyrics fighting over the sound of the music itself. The high energy of this song doesn’t really go away throughout the entire song, so picking a part of the song wasn’t really a huge issue for me. If I were a position player using Stars In the Night, I would use 0:00 to about 0:23. I chose this part of the song because there is absolutely no lyrics in this part of the song. I really like the music itself, so I really liked this portion of the song, and I feel it would be a really good part to walk up to the plate to.

8.) Seth Rollins – The Second Coming

If I were a pitcher using The Second Coming, I would use 0:00 to about 1:31. With about 10 seconds in, this song just stops for a couple of seconds, which I really like, so I fit that into this portion of what I would choose. When I think of a pitcher’s song, I think of ‘what would the fans do if this were a pitcher’s song?’ For this song, I could think of so many ways the fans would get pumped up with the pitcher. I think this would be a song that fans would be waiting for to kick off an play. If I were a position player using The Second Coming, I would use from 0:12 to about 0:54. For a position player, I chose the part right after the song picks up again. I like this part of the song because it comes with crazy high energy and I can just imagine the fast waving flags, and the arms hurting after going so fast. This song stops again just after 0:54, which is why I chose to end it there.

9.) Dean Ambrose – Retaliation

If I were a pitcher using Retaliation, I would use 0:00 to about 1:34. No doubt that Dean Ambrose’s song would make the list. I love his entrance music because it is so high energy and it just starts high. His song only has a couple of parts that repeat over and over again, but I really like the way it sounds. I think this song would be really good in a pitcher’s eye, especially if that pitcher was me. If I were a position player using Retaliation, I would use 0:00 to about 0:30. It wasn’t that hard to pick clips for each of these, so I just chose the beginnings of the song in different size snippets.

10.) Finn Balor – Catch Your Breath

If I were a pitcher using Catch Your Breath, I would use 0:00 to about 1:33. Okay, so this was really tricky because the song doesn’t actually start until about 0:43, but I like the creepy beginning. If there was a remix style of this song that either sped up the beginning or clipped it shorter, I’d use that, but I really like the beginning of the song. When the song hits, it hits hard and I really like how it sounds and the way it flows. If I were a position player using Catch Your Breath, I would use from about 0:42 to about 1:21. I would start it right after all of the openings and only use the actual song. There’s no lyrics to this song, so I think the music itself is really powerful. I don’t think there’s a part in the song that wouldn’t have worked for me, so I just picked the very beginning of it to use.

11.) Enzo Amore, Big Cass, & Carmella – SAWFT Is a Sin

If I were a pitcher using SAWFT Is a Sin, I would use from about 0:13 to about 1:50. I really like the little popping beat at about 0:13, so I chose to start there. I don’t know what it is about this song, but I think I would actually use this if I were ever a pitcher. I don’t really know how to explain it, I just really like this song. If I were a position player using SAWFT Is a Sin, I would use from 0:00 to about 0:43. I chose to start at the very beginning for this one because I like the short little buildup, and I think it’s perfect for a position player’s walk-up music. I really don’t know how else to explain it, I just really enjoy it. That’s all I can really say.

12.) Damien Sandow – Hallelujah (Rock Mix)

If I were a pitcher using Hallelujah, I would use from 0:22 to about 2:06. First of all, I absolutely hate his original song, but then I found this and it was perfect. I like the new beat of it and I think it is really fitting for a pitcher. There isn’t much lyrics to distract from the sound, which is always a plus for me. Like a lot of the songs, it kind of just repeats the same small parts over and over again, but I think it works for this song. If I were a position player using Hallelujah, I would use from 0:07 to about 0:49. I chose to start it closer to the beginning this time because I like how the song kind of kicks off. I think it would be really nice for this to just kick off and have the announcer start announcing. I don’t know what drew me to this song other than it saying ‘rock mix,’ but it’s here now.

13.) The Hype Bros – Stay Hype, Bro

If I were a pitcher using Stay Hype, Bro, I would use from about 0:26 to about 1:43. Yes, this song is indeed here. I chose to start it after most of the talking is done, but there’s a whole lot of talking everywhere in this song so it was hard to completely get rid of. Again, when I think of this song, I think of what the fans would do, and I can think of so many possibilities with this song. It’s a high energy and fast paced song, which I think is the best kind of song for a pitcher. If I were a position player using Stay Hype, Bro, I would use about 0:06 to about 0:43. For this part, I chose to start it a little earlier, which means there’s a lot more talking, but I think it’s okay for a position player. Even this song, people can banter back and forth with what the song says, and I just think anything that fans will be able to interact with is a great song.

Okay, now that I told you about all thirteen songs and why I’d choose them, I decided to rank them between position player and pitcher, which I would decide to use first versus last.

Pitcher:

  1. Broken Dream
  2. Next Big Thing
  3. Stars In the Night
  4. Retaliation
  5. Catch Your Breath
  6. Hallelujah (Rock Mix)
  7. I Am Perfection
  8. Meat on the Table
  9. So Close Now
  10. The Second Coming
  11. SAWFT Is a Sin
  12. Stay Hype, Bro
  13. Some Bodies Gonna Get It

Position Player:

  1. I Am Perfection
  2. So Close Now
  3. Catch Your Breath
  4. Retaliation
  5. The Second Coming
  6. Stars In the Night
  7. Next Big Thing
  8. Broken Dream
  9. Meat on the Table
  10. Hallelujah (Rock Mix)
  11. Stay Hype, Bro
  12. SAWFT Is a Sin
  13. Some Bodies Gonna Get It

So, as you can see, there is a reason I didn’t order them in the beginning. The two bolded songs in each list are the only two that are the same in rankings throughout. I chose all 13 because I liked them, but I would definitely use them for different reasons, which made them divided in rankings. If you liked this blog post, be sure to give me some feedback wherever you found the link to this! Tweet me, comment on my FaceBook page, or comment what WWE song you would use as your warm up or walk up music! I’d love to hear what you’d choose!

A Gift Guide For WWE Fans

Welcome to another 25 Days of Christmas blog post! It’s the 7th day in and this has to be my favourite post yet! Yes, that’s right, I found a way to combine WWE with Christmas! Do you know a WWE fan and you’re wondering what to get them for Christmas? Well, you’re in the right place! I’m here to give you the basic ideas for shopping for a WWE fan in one short blog post. Okay, this won’t be that short. I’m going to give you a short series of steps and a few ideas in order to find the perfect gift for your WWE friend.

There are a handful of places online where you can find amazing WWE merchandise. Some have a lot more unique t-shirts, and others have some basics that anyone would love! There are a couple of sites I have found through Twitter, which I am guilty of throwing some of their designs on my own Christmas list. Here are a few of the sites that I would definitely check out!

  1. Pro Wrestling Tees
  2. What a Maneuver!
  3. Wrestling Superstore
  4. Target
  5. Hot Topic
  6. Amazon

Obviously, there are a lot of different places to shop for WWE merchandise, but my go-to is WWE’s official store, WWEShop.com! WWE Shop carries officially licensed merchandise for dozens of former and current superstars. They have everything from t-shirt and hoodies, to title belts and accessories. So, if you’re searching for a gift for a WWE fan, head on over to WWEShop.com first!

WWEShopThis should be similar to what you see when you first go to WWEShop.com. Obviously, I am doing some advanced writing, so there is a banner for Black Friday, but that banner is the sale or coupon banner, or my favourite part! There are constantly new deals and coupons circulating throughout the days. Always check there to find the best deals to shop! Also, there are tabs across the top where you can limit your search to a few dozen items. Here’s how I would do it!

First of all, if you know your friend’s favourite superstar, the best place to start is the superstars tab and look for their favourite superstar. That’s the best way to look for an easy gift that they’re bound to love. I’ll show you how I would shop for someone who likes Dean Ambrose, because, well I am one of those people, so I can give you my personal opinions.

DeanAmbroseThis is what a superstar’s page looks like. There’s a lot of options to look at now, from t-shirts, to accessories, cups, and room decorations. From here you can just click on whatever you want to buy and go from there. This set up is the same for every superstar, whether it’s John Cena, Sasha Banks, or Triple H.

GiftGuideYou can also search based on men, women, or kids; specific products; new products; and sales. Around the holidays, WWE also comes out with a Gift Guide, where it can make shopping a whole lot easier. They give you options to also search based on him, her, or kids; titles & memorabilia; and stocking stuffers. This is another simple way to look for different gifts and styles. With these, and all of the other tabs on WWEShop.com, shopping for anyone who loves WWE should be quick and easy.

With all of the other sites I listed above, there are also a few tabs which should make navigating easy. I will also link specific searches for Target and Hot Topic, so you can click on the link and have a straight view to all the WWE merchandise they list online. These stores are also ones that you can go to and look around to see if there are any items that are not listed on their online stores, and you can seek out any other stores that may stock WWE merchandise.

I do not know of every store that sells WWE merchandise, but I’m sure it’s everywhere. Online shopping is easy to do, and Amazon can also give you a perfect way to search for specific things that may be rare or ones that just aren’t sold everywhere.

Now that I’ve given you a basic outline of how to shop for a WWE fan, I’m going to post a couple of specific items that I would definitely recommend checking out.

BeFunky Collage

  1. WWE 2K16 – The one I link is for the XBox One, but there are different versions for different devices depending on who you’re shopping for. This game is great for anyone, really, who likes wrestling. I would recommend this for someone who you know is a video game person, and someone who you may not know what they like and dislike about wrestling merchandise. Cost: $59.99
  2. Yes!: My Improbable Journey to the Main Event of WrestleMania Book – This is Daniel Bryan’s autobiography. Daniel Bryan is one of those superstars that has a huge following, and if you know a Daniel Bryan fan, this could be a good route to go. This book depicts Daniel Bryan’s journey from being a boy with a dream to his WrestleMania moment. This is a great gift for a Daniel Bryan fan and a WWE superfan as well. Cost: $25.99
  3. WWE Divas Championship 15 oz. Mug – Whether they’re a coffee drinker or not, a mug is a simple gift that says a lot. There are superstar specific mugs, but I picked this one because it can be a simple gift for almost any fan. Whether they can use it for coffee, or just water, it can be given to anyone. A mug can also be given as a holiday kit, which on December 16th, I will be posting a blog entry about holiday gift kits you can make. Cost: $9.99
  4. BSR Good Luck T-Shirt – This is a perfect gift for a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan. I personally love Pro Wrestling Tees designs, and I especially love Stone Cold’s Broken Skull Ranch designs. This is just one of them, but there are a lot to choose from! Plus, these shirts are a bit cheaper than those of WWEShop, and they have a different variety as well. Cost: $19.99
  5. Undertaker POP! Vinyl Figure – Pop! Vinyl Figures are cute little chibi style figurines, which can range from Disney characters, to, yes, WWE Superstars. I included an Undertaker Pop! Vinyl because he is one of those legends that everyone knows. They’re a cute gift, whether it is Undertaker or the Bella Twins. There’s a handful of them that are sold on WWEShop, but there are also some sold at Hot Topic. If you are looking around, I’d recommend checking both of those out before you make a final purchase! Cost:$14.99
  6. Mantusloveocko T-Shirt – Yeah, that looks confusing, but let me put it in basic terms for you. Man(kind) (cac)tus (dude)love (s)ocko. These are all cute little images that represent Mick Foley. This is also a Pro Wrestling Tees design, and yes, there are a lot more where this came from. I thought this design was really cool, so I decided to include it. Cost: $19.99
  7. John Cena Plush Bear – WWEShop sells a handful of plush bears that have WWE superstar t-shirts on them. These are perfect for kids, or even adults. There are only four superstars that currently have plush bears, but if you happen to know someone who is obsessed with John Cena, the Bella Twins, or Roman Reigns, then you’re in luck! Cost: $19.99
  8. WWEâ„¢ Elite Collection Dean Ambrose Figure – Target sells a lot of action figures, and I included a few of them on here. There are a lot of different styles of action figures, and this is one of the sets. This Dean Ambrose action figure comes with a dog tag, championship belt, and a video camera. I personally like action figures that come with something extra because they’re unique and really describe the character of the superstar. Cost: $20.29
  9. WWE Super Strikers Daniel Bryan Figure – Along with the Dean Ambrose one, this is another unique action figure. It looks pretty basic, but the super strikers have specialty moves that they do when their legs are squeezed. This style of action figure is directed more towards children because of the added component of the specialty move. Cost: $7.99
  10. WWE Daniel Bryan Yes Revolution T-Shirt – WWEShop also sells this shirt, but Hot Topic sells them for cheaper. Obviously, Hot Topic doesn’t sell a lot of shirts, but they are good quality shirts. Again, Daniel Bryan is very popular, so there is a lot of Daniel Bryan merchandise on this gift guide, but this can be gifted to anyone from kids to adults, anyone who loves Daniel Bryan. Cost:$14.99
  11. WWE Daniel Bryan iPhone 6 Case – I didn’t realize that Hot Topic sold phone cases for WWE, but this is the only one I could really find. I think this is such a unique phone case, and I think it would be a cute gift for a Daniel Bryan fan. Cost: $12.50
  12. Funko WWE Pocket POP! John Cena KeyChain – Along with the regular Pop! Vinyl Figures, they’ve started to sell keychains. I think this one is a really good idea for a John Cena fan. It is really small, but simple and thoughtful at the same time. This could also be paired in a holiday kit with a mug and a few other things. Cost: $6.50
  13. WWE Brock Lesnar Suplex City T-Shirt – This is another Hot Topic shirt which WWEShop also sells. This would be perfect to any Brock Lesnar fan and again, is a bit cheaper than if you were to buy it on WWEShop. Cost: $24.50
  14. WWE® Superstrikers Randy Orton Figure – This figure combines the Daniel Bryan and Dean Ambrose one into a Randy Orton action figure. This figure comes with a toy chair, and it has a specialty move. Cost: $17.99
  15. Ropes T-Shirt – This shirt pays tribute to the late Eddie Guererro, who has a lot of designs on Pro Wrestling Tees as well. These shirts are amazing and I can’t fit all of the ones I would recommend on this gift guide, but just take a look around their site and you’re sure to find something you like! Cost: $19.99
  16. WWE Road to WrestleMania Trading Cards – This is another simple gift, which can be put into a holiday gift as well. These cards are super inexpensive, but for a card collector, mean a lot! They are 2015 trading cards, but they can work as a gift in a small gift bag, a holiday kit, or even as an addition to a bigger gift. Cost: $3.50
  17. WWE World Heavyweight Championship 15 oz. Mug – Here is another basic mug that you could get virtually any WWE fan. This can be bought with the Divas one as well as a cute “his and hers” gift set, or they can be bought for different people! These are great as a base for a holiday kit, or just simply a gift for a coffee lover. Cost: $9.99
  18. WWE Elite Collection Rey Mysterio Figure – Series #32 – This is another series of action figures. This Rey Mysterio one comes with a championship belt, along with what looks like a suction cup holder, but I really don’t know what that is. This, and all of the other action figures I’ve included in this gift guide show just how many different styles of action figures there are. Cost: $20.29
  19. WWE World Heavyweight Championship Scarf – This is a simple gift for any WWE fan because it is a generic design. WWEShop has a handful of scarves that are superstar specific as well. These are the perfect holiday gifts for virtually anyone! Cost:$19.99
  20. WWE Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Holiday Ornament Set – Again, there are a bunch of different superstar specific ornaments, but these I thought were really cute because they represent WWE’s December pay-per-view. I think ornaments are a good idea for Christmas lovers because they can just add to their collection. From gingerbread men to ornament balls, there are plenty of ornaments to choose from! Cost: $19.99
  21. Undertaker: The Streak 21-1 Coffin Box Set – This is a perfect gift for a WWE superfan. This DVD box set is perfect for anyone who is obsessed with WWE, and especially an Undertaker fan. With the unique casing, this gift can be presented to someone in just the coffin, or wrapped up. This gift can bring history to any fan, and it’s great history to relive. Cost: $49.99
  22. BITW T-Shirt – CM Punk sells his shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees and his designs are amazing. They’re unique and really representative of him. Again, this is one of probably dozens of designs he has on his shop. A lot of them are really cool and unique, and for a CM Punk fan, they’re to die for. When shopping for a CM Punk fan, Pro Wrestling Tees is the way to go. Cost: $19.99
  23. Uppercut & Uppercut & Uppercut & Uppercut T-Shirt – Cesaro fan on your list to buy for? This shirt is perfect for them! It’s simple, and unique, and all around an amazing shirt. Cesaro has a large following, and on What A Maneuver, they have a download for a Cesaro Section sign. Pair this shirt and a Cesaro Section sign and you have a perfect gift set for a Cesaro fan! Cost: $19.99

I hope you found this useful! This was actually really fun to write, because, well I got to basically pretend to shop! I hope you found this useful for either yourself or for a friend! Leave a comment of what your favourite item was! Check out my Twitter later today for my WWEIWC blog post on Hardly Serious and potentially live tweets during RAW! I’ll see you next time!

Gift Guide for A’s Fans

Welcome back to another 25 Days of Christmas entry! This one and the next two are going to be gift guides! This one is a gift guide for an A’s fan. This obviously won’t work for EVERY A’s fan, but I tried to be as general as possible! I hope you enjoy this and hopefully you’ll find this useful when buying a gift for an A’s fan!

BeFunky Collage Oakland

  1. Moneyball – Every A’s fan would love to reminisce this wonderful moment in A’s history, so why not get it for them for Christmas? Cost: $12.49 – $35.99
  2. Oakland Athletics Authentic Alternate 1 Jersey – A jersey is perfect for any A’s fan, but don’t go out and get any player jersey because they’ll be gone within a year or two. Buy them a blank jersey if you’re going to buy them a jersey! Cost: $187.99
  3. Super Soft Plush Fleece Blankets – Obviously with all of the trades and players leaving, any A’s fan would love a blanket to cuddle up in and cry when their favourite player is traded. They’ll love this gift during the trades and everything heart wrenching going on throughout the offseason. Cost: $15.99
  4. A’s Hat – There are so many different types of hats to fit many different personalities, and this is the best generic gift to buy an A’s fan. It’s something they will be able to wear no matter whose on the team. These hats all cost different prices, so I cannot put a price down for these.
  5. Kleenex Facial Tissue Upright 4 pack – With all the trade rumors, along with the blanket, will help them through all the tears when their favourite player gets traded. They may be annoyed at this gift at first, but eventually they’ll find it very useful! Cost: $11.41
  6. Trading Cards – Again, there’s so many different options that I can’t really give a price, but these are perfect for an A’s fan. Why you ask? Because with all the new players and old players coming and going, they’re going to have to find a new favourite player. With trading cards, they’ll be able to find that player… hopefully.
  7. Oakland Athletics 2016 22X17 Desk Calendar – This is perfect for an A’s fan that is counting down the days to spring training or even opening day. It will also help them track all the games they’re going to, along with the times of the games. Cost: $14.99
  8. Oakland Athletics Wood Wireless USB Keyboard – If you know an angry tweeter that’s an A’s fan, this gift is perfect for them! It’ll allow them to get all their anger out with an OAKLAND A’S keyboard. They’ll never forget why they’re mad because every time they look down to type, they’ll be reminded of their anger, or sadness. Cost: $49.99
  9. Oakland Athletics Yoga Mat – To relieve all of their stress from the offseason, this is a perfect gift to give. A yoga mat! A’s themed, of course. They’ll be able to take their stress out appropriately by doing yoga rather than tweeting angrily on Twitter. Cost: $34.99
  10. Inside Out – Sadness – This is a perfect gift to get a collector because they’ll be able to identify with this character. Cost: $8.93
  11. Athletics Magazine Subscription – This is a perfect gift for a magazine collector or someone who likes to pass time while waiting in line. Filled with interviews, Q&As, and all kinds of other interesting stuff, these magazines will be a perfect gift to basically any A’s fan. Cost: $35
  12. Oakland Athletics Strike 60” x 80” Plush Raschel Throw Blanket – If you would rather get your friend an A’s blanket, this is a really cool one to get. There are obviously a lot more, but this was byfar my favourite! They can also bring this to chilly night games during the season! Cost: $44.99

Obviously this is not a complete gift guide, and it’s not for everyone. Well, it was basically meant to be a joke because this sadness and tears and anger will definitely be what I’ll be feeling throughout the offseason. If you’re an A’s fan, I hope you enjoyed this, if you’re not, then I hope you weren’t reading this to get legit ideas for gift ideas for an A’s fan. Anyway, tomorrow and Monday will also be gift guides. For who? Guess you’ll have to check back to find out!

Holiday Bucket List & Ideas

Welcome to a new series on Outside the Brass Ring called “25 Days of Christmas.” For the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas, I am going to post one entry a day somehow related to the holiday season and Christmas. I figured I’d kick it off with my holiday bucket list and ideas on how you can make your own bucket list for the holidays!

Here’s my bucket list!:

Christmas-Bucket-List-Background-Candy-Cane

There are a few ways you can make your own holiday bucket list. Obviously you can come up with the ideas from your head without any help, but if you want or need a little help, here are a few tips that I have found useful! Visit Etsy and search either ‘holiday bucket list stickers’ or ‘christmas bucket list stickers.’ They have a lot of interesting ideas, and you can even buy the stickers to make a cuter holiday bucket list. Another idea is to simply google ‘christmas bucket list’ or ‘holiday bucket list’ and go through the images that it comes up with. All of these can help you make a bucket list, but what’s the use of a bucket list if you don’t look at it or do anything on it. For me, personally, I like to put a couple of items on there that I know I’m going to do already, which let me cross those off and motivate me to try and do all of them. You can also save it as your home screen on your phone so you look at it every time you go on your phone. You can also print out pictures, or buy stickers, and make a collage on a poster board of your bucket list. This is also a fun idea to do with your family and post it in the living room or somewhere where people go all the time. This can make your holidays filled with fun adventures, and keep you busy throughout the holidays. Don’t get too stressed with all the holiday shopping and go do something fun on your bucket list!

I hope this helped some people. Leave a comment with something from your holiday bucket list, or tweet me, @graveyardpxnk, and we can talk about holiday bucket lists, or I can give you some ideas! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for another entry in my 25 Days of Christmas blog series! I hope you liked this and I hope you’ll continue reading the rest of the series!

WWE Survivor Series Predictions

It’s Sunday, and that means in an hour, I’ll be sitting on my couch watching the WWE Network… well, I do that daily, but today is different! Survivor Series is tonight! Normally, I take to Twitter to voice my predictions, which I already did. I’ve decided, however, to make a blog post about it to go into more depth and detail that cannot be achieved in 140 characters. If you want a more in depth look at the upcoming matches tonight, stay here and read on! One last thing before we get into the reason you clicked on the link. Tonight I will be posting on Hardly Serious about Survivor Series, where I talk about every match and what I would’ve changed about the ending, obviously, if my predictions are incorrect, I’d probably change it. Look out for that on my Twitter shortly after the pay-per-view ends! Here are my Survivor Series predictions!

12241618_10153372373571443_5284981937271505251_nMatch: Roman Reigns VS Alberto Del Rio

Well, I touched on this match a little bit on my last post, where I shared what I would’ve done with the WWE Championship Tournament. I want Roman Reigns to win so he can be in the final match, which I will talk about later. I don’t think WWE will let Del Rio get to the final round because he does have a championship. Not that they haven’t had dual champions before, but still. I am confident that Roman Reigns will pick up the victory tonight, and will have another match later on.12239999_10153372373466443_3072821447475764253_n

My Ending: Del Rio tries to sucker Reigns into the cross arm breaker, but Reigns powers outs. Colter distracts Del Rio allowing Reigns to lock and load the superman punch. Reigns hits Del Rio with his superman punch/spear combo and wins the match.

12243395_10153372373371443_5706641931387836174_nMatch: Dean Ambrose VS Kevin Owens

Again, I touched on this in my last post, and by now you have probably realized that I’m predicting a Dean Ambrose VS Roman Reigns final round match. And yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing. WWE didn’t play out this tournament very well. Two guys with championships VS two guys without championships. Who will win? Don’t ask me, actually do ask me. I am very confident that Dean Ambrose will pick up at least one victory tonight.12249819_10153372373361443_3482002287771644453_n

My Ending: Owens goes for the pop up powerbomb, but Ambrose wiggles his way out and delivers dirty deeds to Owens. A three count later, and two former members of the Shield will be facing off for the WWE Championship.

12246619_10153372373476443_6395703283413283730_nMatch: Paige VS Charlotte

Before I start my explanation, it’s Paige, I’m always going to root for her no matter what. Okay, now for why I think she’ll win tonight. I think they’ve been playing this Paige heel turn to lightly, she need11990636_10153372373481443_3078000873836605180_ns to completely turn and she needs to do it tonight. No more happy Paige, just full on heel turn. Charlotte deserves the title, but I feel a title change coming up real soon. Charlotte is a tough competitor, but I think Paige is tougher.

My Ending: If Becky is at ringside, I want her to cause a distraction so Paige can put Charlotte in the PTO. Yes, it’s as simple as that.

Match: Tyler Breeze VS Dolph Ziggler

12249972_10153372373356443_2969310892836479507_nWow, it’s weird writing about Ziggler losing, but it’s just the feeling I have right now. They’ve had this tension without any real matches with these two since Breeze debuted. I think they’ll give Breeze a win to give him a little push, not that he needs it. 12247049_10153372373366443_9095762390058822194_n

My Ending: Summer will probably distract the referee or Ziggler, allowing Breeze to capitalize.

Referee distraction: Breeze uses his selfie stick to Ziggler’s neck and wins.

Ziggler distraction: Breeze attacks from the back and Ziggler is rolled up before he even knows what hit him.

12241617_10153372373471443_4007376392001214701_nMatch: The Brothers of Destruction VS The Wyatt Family

I don’t think WWE will let Taker pass the torch to Bray right now. I feel it coming soon, but not this soon. Taker and Kane joining up again and with Survivor Series actually honoring The Undertaker, I don’t see a loss coming from these two. They’re veteran style will help them through the number’s disadvantage.12243156_10153372373581443_2782402412955513588_n

My Ending: Kane and Taker will chokeslam whichever two Wyatt Family members are there. Taker will tombstone Wyatt somewhere in the match. Taker will get the pinfall, but not against Bray Wyatt. They won’t let Bray lose, but they won’t let Taker lose either.

12243395_10153372373371443_5706641931387836174_nMatch: Dean Ambrose VS Roman Reigns

No matter what happens in this match, Reigns promises they’ll always be brothers. I don’t buy it. At least, not from Ambrose. I already wrote about this exact match in my last post, but I’ll keep it short here. They’ll have an amazing match, good chemistry, clean fight. Dean will win clean.

My Ending: Reigns goes for a superman punch, but 12241618_10153372373571443_5284981937271505251Ambrose knows him too well. He gets out of the way and delivers dirty deeds to Reigns. After the match, Reigns goes to shake his brother’s hand and hug him, but Ambrose has a different plan… HEEL TURN. That’s all I have to say.

Be sure to check out my Twitter for live reactions throughout the night, along with my WWE IWC on Hardly Serious following the pay-per-view. I hope you enjoyed these simple predictions, and I hope you enjoy Survivor Series as well!

“There are a few things you don’t do in life. You don’t tug on a superman’s cape, don’t p*ss in the wind, and don’t turn your back on your brothers.” – Roman Reigns

WWE Championship Tournament

A lot of people have been saying that Seth Rollins getting hurt was at the worst time possible, but I really don’t think it was after watching this tournament. Yes, there were some really weird moments and really unnecessary matches, but overall, I think it was perfect timing. Even though I strongly dislike Rollins, I’m sad that he’s hurt and sad that he’s gone for 9 months. At Survivor Series, it was obvious that Reigns was going to win and become the new champion. I’m not saying that I wished for Rollins to get hurt, but having a tournament does give a new storyline that wouldn’t have been present before. I personally think that a tournament like this has perfect potential to make lots of storyline throughout the tournament. “You lost me my shot at the WWE Championship, I’m going to interfere in your next match so you don’t have an opportunity either.” Well, that could’ve happened, but we all know it didn’t. I say it has perfect potential, WWE creative doesn’t understand that obviously.
Yeah, I get it, I claim that I know everything that WWE creative should’ve and wouldn’t do. I am obviously no storyline expert, but I like to pretend I am. If you have decided to read up until this point you’re probably asking yourself what I would do with the tournament. Oh, you’re not? Well, I’m going to share anyway.

Round 1 –

Roman Reigns VS Bray Wyatt
↳ Roman Reigns advances

Sheamus VS Cesaro
↳ Cesaro advances

The Miz VS Damien Sandow
↳ Damien Sandow advances

Alberto Del Rio VS Jack Swagger
↳ Jack Swagger advances

Kevin Owens VS Kalisto
↳ Kalisto advances

Neville VS Stardust
↳ Neville advances

Ziggler VS Big E
↳ Ziggler advances

Dean Ambrose VS Tyler Breeze
↳ Dean Ambrose advances

Round 2 –

Roman Reigns VS Cesaro
↳ Roman Reigns advances

Damien Sandow VS Jack Swagger
↳ Jack Swagger advances

Kalisto VS Neville
↳ Neville advances

Dolph Ziggler VS Dean Ambrose
↳ Dean Ambrose advances

Round 3 –

Roman Reigns VS Jack Swagger
↳ Roman Reigns advances

Dean Ambrose VS Neville
↳ Dean Ambrose advances

Final Round –

Roman Reigns VS Dean Ambrose
↳ Dean Ambrose wins and turns heel

Now I’m going to go one by one for each match and explain why I would want these matches.

Round 1 –

Roman Reigns VS Bray Wyatt
↳ Roman Reigns advances
This would end the Wyatt/Reigns storyline and shove Wyatt out of the WWE Championship picture so he can truly focus on his mini feud with the Undertaker.

Sheamus VS Cesaro
↳ Cesaro advances
This would push Cesaro closer to a potential title run, while having Sheamus angered, continuing to lurk in the background of the championship storyline. He’s basically guaranteed a title opportunity, he doesn’t need to get any closer.

The Miz VS Damien Sandow
↳ Damien Sandow advances
I would love to have this rivalry continued because after Sandow stopped being with the Miz, he sort of just disappeared. This would keep both of them relevant, while pleasing the WWE Universe, I think.

Alberto Del Rio VS Jack Swagger
↳ Jack Swagger advances
This would give the US Championship a genuine rivalry with the Zeb Colter boys. Swagger already showed face, this could’ve jumped that rivalry. Del Rio has a championship, he doesn’t need to be in the WWE Championship picture.

Kevin Owens VS Kalisto
↳ Kalisto advances
Instead of having Kalisto defeat Ryback, he would’ve gone more over with the WWE Universe in beating a champion, again giving a genuine storyline surrounding the Intercontinental Championship.

Neville VS Stardust
↳ Neville advances
This rivalry is dead and over, but I think it would be cool to have Neville beat Stardust, and maybe have this be the turning point of Stardust becoming, well, not Stardust.

Ziggler VS Big E
↳ Ziggler advances
Remember when Big E and Ziggler were friends? Yeah, I think this would be a cool match. That’s literally the only reason I did this.

Dean Ambrose VS Tyler Breeze
↳ Dean Ambrose advances
I had no issues with this match in the original tournament. It was a great match, with great chemistry.

Round 2 –

Roman Reigns VS Cesaro
↳ Roman Reigns advances
Cesaro is a crowd guy, Reigns is a crowd guy who WWE wants to get over to be champion material. I’d have them have a good old fight, but congratulate each other at the end of the match.

Damien Sandow VS Jack Swagger
↳ Jack Swagger advances
These two guys obviously don’t belong in the title picture, but it can get them over with the crowd and hopefully push their own individual storylines.

Kalisto VS Neville
↳ Neville advances
Again, they don’t really belong in the title picture, but it would push Neville into being a main event guy, and hopefully push Kalisto into a solo match guy.

Dolph Ziggler VS Dean Ambrose
↳ Dean Ambrose advances
My two guys, but ones got to win. Ziggler belongs in the title picture, but Ambrose winning is crucial to the final match, okay? Okay.

Round 3 –

Roman Reigns VS Jack Swagger
↳ Roman Reigns advances
Putting Swagger with Reigns will give Swagger the push to take off as a title holding potential for later on. I think their styles will compliment each other, while putting on a good match.

Dean Ambrose VS Neville
↳ Dean Ambrose advances
Like I said above, I think this would push Neville upwards to a potential title run of any title. They would also compliment each other very will with the lunatic, high flying matchup.

Final Round –

Roman Reigns VS Dean Ambrose
↳ Dean Ambrose wins and turns heel
This is the best way to finish this tournament. The WWE Universe doesn’t seem to want Reigns as champion, they never do. I think that Ambrose and Reigns could have a good, fair fight and Ambrose would come out on top. Then, Reigns goes to shake Ambrose’s hand and BAM heel turn Ambrose. Yes, this needs to happen, okay.

Well, those were my thoughts on the tournament, and obviously, the final round is still possible. It’s just a question of, “Will WWE do it or not?” In a few hours, I will be posting my Survivor Series predictions, so if you are interested in that, look out on my Twitter, @graveyardpxnk, for when that comes out. Also, I will be posting another edition of WWEIWC, wacky wrestling endings I would change, on Hardly Serious following the pay-per-view. If you’re a WWE reader of mine, then I would recommend you go and read both of those, also check out my WWE category here on my blog and read anything you haven’t already. Comment or tweet me what you would have done with the tournament. Also, follow me on Twitter and you will gain a follower, me! I look forward to talking to anyone about anything WWE, so shoot me a tweet.
