Welcome to a new chapter of Outside the Brass Ring!
It’s been awhile, and honestly, it’s been too long. Over two months of not posting, or writing for that matter, I’ve realized that writing is what I love to do best. And what I love to do even more is write about WWE. Like I said in my very first blog entry on this page, before you start venturing through the stories that will be posted here, I figured I’d tell you a bit about myself and this blog…
This blog, Outside the Brass Ring, did obtain the name from a former WWE superstar by the name of Phil Brooks, better known as CM Punk. The name also describes itself exactly. Reaching for a brass ring, taking a risk in order to reach your dreams. Life is full of risks and decisions in which your choice will either lead you towards or away from your dream. Not everyone will reach their dreams in their lifetime, but that doesn’t mean they need to stop. For this blog, being outside the brass ring describes a dream that is not yet ready to be fulfilled, yet is just in arm’s reach. What’s holding you back? This blog will touch on everything and anything WWE related, from rumors, recaps, or my adventures to a live event or pay-per-view!
As for me? I’m 16 years old as of this post. WWE has completely consumed my life, which basically means I throw out an “RKO Outta Nowhere” reference at least once a day. Yes, it’s gotten to the point where half of my closet is wrestling shirts from my favourite wrestlers to former wrestlers to wrestlers I’ve honestly never liked before aka John Cena. I watch Monday Night RAW every Monday, and yes I watch Thursday Night Smackdown on… Saturday. I am a proud subscriber of the WWE Network. What? Why not? I get every single pay-per-view, not to mention every other one that’s ever been made, for ONLY $9.99 a month! I am guilty of binge watching random pay-per-views until 5AM in the morning and obsessing over the superstars, and divas. When I’m not watching RAW, or Smackdown, or random pay-per-views, I’m probably somewhere drowning in the massive amounts of homework high school has thrown at me. Yes, there’s only like 3 more weeks of school left, and then summer. Summer for me? You’ll totally find me at the beach every day. Wait… rewind a bit. Summer for me? You’ll absolutely, without a doubt, find me in a concrete cereal bowl known as the O.Co Coliseum. Yeah, that sounds better! I guess I’m not there EVERY day in the summer, but I wouldn’t be complaining if I was. If I’m not at the Coliseum, and I’ve realized I’m drowning in the WWE Network, you may find me destroying books such as Wreck This Journal, or looking at pictures of tattoos and beards. And yes, I’ll probably be posting about my Wreck This Journal a lot on this blog!
Well, this seems like a good place to stop blabbering on about my life because this blog is basically my life in words and stories, or words that form stories. Well, if you’ve found yourself with the pleasure, or misfortune, of making it to the end of this blog post and if you want to read more, you’re more than welcome to sign up for email updates to know when I’m posting again. Check out my full blog view to see all of the improvements I’ve made to it such as a new Twitter feed so you can see what I’m into, a gallery so you can see my adventures so far, and a countdown so you know when my next big adventure is!
I truly do appreciate each and everyone of you who take the time to read my blog. If you want to see more, be sure to leave me some feedback here! I will be coming out with a WrestleMania blog post in the near future to share my adventures with all of you.
Don’t allow yourself to wake up with yesterday’s issues troubling your mind. See every day as a new chapter. – Unknown
